- Tap the download button above. Your browser starts the download and shows progress in the notification shade.
- Keep the browser open until the download finishes. The file saves to your Downloads folder as MovieBox.apk.
- Your browser may warn that the file is unverified. This is normal for any APK from outside the Play Store – tap Download anyway.
- When the download finishes, tap the notification, or open the file from your Downloads app.
Connect to Wi-Fi before you start. An interrupted download is the single most common cause of a failed install.
Install
Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default. You grant permission once, and only for the app you download with.
- Open MovieBox.apk from your notification shade, Downloads app, or file manager.
- If Android shows Install blocked, tap Settings, then turn on Allow from this source for your browser or file manager.
- Tap Install. It takes about 5–15 seconds.
- Tap Open, or find MovieBox in your app drawer. Grant storage access when prompted.
If the install fails
Four errors account for nearly every failed install. Find your error message below.
“App not installed”
The most common failure, and usually one of three things:
- Corrupted download. Delete the APK and download it again over Wi-Fi.
- Not enough storage. Free up at least 100 MB, then retry.
- Version conflict. Uninstall any older MovieBox build first — installing over a mismatched signature fails.
“Install blocked” or “Unsafe app”
Play Protect scans APKs from outside the Play Store and blocks them by default.
Go to Settings → Security → Install unknown apps, select the app you downloaded with (Chrome, Files), and turn on Allow from this source.
If Play Protect still warns you, wait for its scan to finish, then tap Install anyway.
“Parse error”
Either your Android version is too old, or the file didn’t download completely.
Check Settings → About phone → Android version. MovieBox needs Android 7.0 or higher. If your version is fine, download the file again — a truncated APK produces the same error.
App installs but crashes on open
Grant media and storage access, then reopen the app. If it still crashes, restart your device and open it again. A fresh download resolves most remaining cases.
